Ping Pong 4 Purpose 2018
What an incredible night for Kershaw's Challenge! We wrapped up a hugely successful Ping Pong 4 Purpose event on the field of Dodgers Stadium on August 23rd. The weather was perfect and our guests enjoyed a lively Ping Pong tournament, great food from HiHo Burgers, drinks from Ketel One and Don Julio, and fun swag from our partners at Toms and Levis.
We started the evening with our blue carpet walk where we welcomed many Dodger players, stars and celebrities to our Ping Pong event.
The evening began with our host, Bryan Cranston (best known for his role in Breaking Bad) opening the event and sharing about our beneficiaries and the true purpose of the evening. Ping Pong 4 Purpose raises funds specifically for our Los Angeles based beneficiaries - Just Keep Livin Foundation and The Dream Center. It also raises funds for IJM (International Justice Mission) in the Dominican Republic. You can read more about our beneficiaries here.
Matthew McConaughey was presented with the Community Impact Award for his work with his foundation, Just Keep Livin'.
Next the match ups were announced and the celebrity Ping Pong tournament began! Guests had a great time mingling around each of the tables and watching the celebrities and Dodger players as they participated in exciting games of Ping Pong.
The tournament culminated in an exciting championship round where a duo was declared the winner!
We had an awesome turnout and raised over $500,000 for our beneficiaries in Los Angeles - The Dream Center, Just Keep Livin' and IJM in the Dominican Republic. In addition, we raised $122,000 that evening to fund rescue missions through IJM.
We are so thankful for our incredible sponsors that made our event possible!
