Brother bill’s Helping hand
Our 2025 Project is to help support children’s programming in Dallas.
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand ministers to 11,400 Dallas families by ensuring the essentials of life, empowering through learning, and enriching relationships through faith, family, fitness, and finance. Their services include a grocery store, mental health support, education support and childrens programming. They distribute 2.4 million meals a year. The children’s programming includes after school programming at West Dallas Community School, summer camps, a Back to School festival and Christmas outreach event.
For oak cliff
Our 2025 Project is the presenting sponsor at the Annual Back to School Festival in the southern sector of Dallas.
Kershaw’s Challenge will be the presenting sponsor for the 2025 Back-to-School Festival hosted by For Oak Cliff. In addition to resources and food, this event provides over 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies in a fun and engaging festival-style! It is a highlight to this community as they gear up for a new school year.
Hunger busters
Our 2025 Project with Hunger Busters is to provide third meals to food insecure DISD students and sponsor the Food Storage + Pantry.
Hunger Busters currently serves 4,500 students 5 days a week. They deliver meals to 11 DISD Schools and 6 after school programs daily. When children are properly fed, the benefits are felt by them and everyone around them, both inside and outside of the classroom. With the right nutrition, behavioral issues lessen, grades get better, test scores increase, and even a student’s emotional wellbeing improves. In 2025, KC will support the direct to child feeding program and sponsor the food storage pantry portion of their kitchen capital campaign that will allow them to serve thousands more children daily.
Mercy street
Our 2025 Project with Mercy Street is to renovate an existing space to become the “Dream Center”.
Mercy Street serves children and families through mentoring, sports and educational support. In 2025, Kershaw’s Challenge will sponsor the renovation of an existing space to become the “Dream Center” -- a student center focused on the arts, technology and afterschool programming.
